100% Merlot. It wasn’t wine that lured Laura Brennan Bissell to California. It was tattoos. The Washington, D.C.. native initially moved to San Francisco to study under a tattoo artist, but quickly discovered her passion was elsewhere. After internships at Unti & Matthiasson, Laura started Inconnu in 2013 and it is defined by both affordability and quaffability. This Merlot from the Sonoma side of Carneros, is from a single vineyard that is farmed organically. Wild fermentation and low intervention, this Merlot is bringing back the grape from the shadows. Blue and black fruit, milk chocolate, and a fine acidity that runs through the wine from start to finish, this wine shows how talented Laura really is. A delicious wine that you can have any day of the week.
