Oeno Wines Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. OENO (ee-no) is owned by Amy Atwood, who also operates a wine import and distribution company, Amy Atwood Selections. Oeno is the ancient Greek word for wine, as well as the name of a goddess known for turning water into wine and that was the inspiration for this line of wines. Amy has sought out top-quality vineyards in Sonoma and a like-minded Californian winemaker who makes these wines to her specifications (start with pristine fruit, then use native yeasts and neutral oak). This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from head-trained old-vines (planted in 1977), 100% estate-grown on the Old Redwood block vineyard. Grapes were 100% de-stemmed and whole-berry pressed, and the wine was fermented with native yeasts only. After fermentation, the wine was matured in 100% neutral French Oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. This gorgeous Cab is full-bodied, filled with blackberry and cocoa with nice pepper and spice on the finish. A crazy everyday value, this is a wine we go back to again and again because of how well-crafted it is. No surprise with the experience and connections Amy has, one of our favorite people in the wine industry.
