Charles Heidsieck Rose Reserve Brut MV
$8000
Description
40% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Meunier. In 1851, young Charles Heidsieck founded his own Champagne house in Reims. He understood that the United States was an important emerging market, so he traversed America repeatedly north to south promoting his new brand. The stylish entrepreneur became known lovingly as “Champagne Charlie.” Charles Heidsieck is distinguished by the high proportion of reserve wines and their vineyard parcels coming from grand and premier cru villages. A surprising combination of precision and indulgence, the Rosé Réserve takes its inspiration from the Brut Réserve blend, to which have been added 5% of red wines from Les Riceys, the crown jewel of the Côte des Bars, a terroir selected for the great delicacy of its Pinots Noirs. Charles Heidsieck is the smallest of the Grandes Marques champagne Houses and that gives them an advantage in being more flexible to craft truly captivating wines. Champagnes that express place and soul.
